About Me
I’m Forest!
I’m a writer / actor / performer etc.
Born to a self-proclaimed “witchy” Irish-Catholic mother from Salem, Massachusetts and a French-Arab father who passed me his male pattern baldness, I have turned to writing to understand these competing worlds and delight in their contradictions. In my writing, I explore migration, identity, connection to land and home, queerness, intimacy, and the healing and harming powers of spirituality.
My writing has been recognized or developed by Theater Masters, NYU, The American Blues Theater, The Eugene O'Neill Theatre Center, Yaddo, and Page 73. I’m a recent MFA graduate from the Dramatic Writing department at NYU Tisch School of the Arts and received my B.A. from Harvard University in 2020 in History & Literature, with a focus on the Arab world. In addition to my creative work, I am an arts educator as well as Senior Curator for Lucid, a new streaming platform and digital home for performance art, video art, dance and art film, and everything in between.
I’m also a current member of the SWANA Writer’s Co-Op and a Planet Fitness in Bushwick.
And it's always free Palestine.
